Even after opting out of the customised ads in Adchoice, I was still shown the GIA jewelry ads. On clicking the ad, it appears that Doubleclick , owned by Google is showing the jewelry ad for GIA. A case of extremely poor targetting and waste of advertiser money and since the event has already taken place a few months ago.

Many CPM / PTP networks use Iframes which contain malware, and can affect the performance of the website visitors desktop or laptop.
One way to prevent this problem is use an ad blocker on your desktop / laptop, but they often block all advertising, even if it is not relevant.

Ebay uses Adchoice to display ads. I am in no way connected to jewelry design, grading, but the ad from GIA is one of the most frequently displayed ad.   One of my  neighbours (Ms M) is involved in jewelry design . Poor targetting or is it something else?

In the last 2 months there seems to be an increase in the payouts from Squidoo.  While the payments from most PPC programs have decreased due to the recession,  I have received more from them and reached the payout threshhold of $5 faster.

Are they sharing more, or are more high paying ads being displayed?
